Fox Hunt Series

First produced in 1904, these decks used the (Hochman) US6e and US6f aces of spades, indicating that they were produced until 1907 or 1908.

From “The American Stationer”, October 15, 1904

There are four English Fox Hunting
scenes, being reproductions in colors direct
from paintings by Corbould, the well-known
English artist. These designs faithfully
portray “The Meet,” “The Run,”
“The Break,” “Into Cover,” “The Kill.”

The interesting thing about this article is that there is no back design titled “The Break”. Did Matthew A. Daly, art director for USPCC, reject it? Did the artist not approve use of the work? Or did USPCC limit the series to four decks? We will most likely never know the answer.
